Isobel Dawson:

The Rev Kondwani reports from Malawi.

Ifumbo congregation is fine.
Firstly let me apologise for taking a long time without updating you on the agogo's. Secondly let me inform you that one of our Agogo's has passed away, Lanwell Chilima, in mid October.
As of now we are having 23 Agogo's in our congregation though these are just few of many in our 9 prayer houses.

As a congregation we are taking care of them in terms of their welfare mainly providing groceries, food, drawing water and cleaning up their houses and surroundings. These duties are championed by our dedicated youths in the church. But these Agogo's need more because they don't have any support. Our economy is still struggling thereby making our members struggle financially because they are just small scale farmers.

I want to inform you that these people, our Agogo's, need more, but the capacity of our Christians to support them is still small. We also do visit them to sing and share the word of God as one way of encouraging them, building up their faith.
Despite all these challenges we have other things to praise and thank God.

Below are are these successes.

God has helped us to build two new prayer houses, and these are Mtubu prayer house and Ipyana prayer house.
Mtubu prayer house is at the home of our former general secretary and Ipyana prayer house is opposite Mtubu, but at a distance.

Would you consider making a regular monthly or annual donation (or increase your present donation) to support our friends in Malawi? As you will see from this report there are many elderly people who they cannot support and who remain in extreme poverty.

Please speak to Isobel Dawson or Pam in the church office for more information on how to contribute
