Mearns Kirk

It was a busy Church on Sunday 18 June for Joe's last service and an even busier  Church Hall for the lunch afterwards. However we all enjoyed ourselves and  managed to keep a lid on the emotions which at times in the past few weeks had  threatened many of us.

Lunch was exceptional, big thanks to all those involved in helping with the organising and catering of the event and a massive thanks to Ann for the chocolate cake - it was very special!

The atmosphere was joyous, not sad, as we  all know that Joe thoroughly deserves his retirement after a remarkable 25 years  looking after his Church Family.

We wish Joe & Violet health and happiness and all the very best for the future.
