CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH—CHURCH & CHARITY ACCOUNTS 2018

Clean Bill Of Health
Robert Paton

Numbers are never an exciting subject to talk about but Robert Paton CA, the church treasurer, said he is delighted that an intensive audit into the church annual accounts for the year to 31 December 2018 got a clean bill of health with no changes to the draft figures submitted for audit to our auditors, Robb Ferguson, Chartered Accountants, Glasgow. Robert said, “following receipt of the Sullivan Legacy last year this meant that our income was temporarily over the £500k criteria which results in a more intensive audit to be carried out under Charity Regulator guidelines, so all in all this is a positive result”.

In addition to the above, to ensure good corporate governance and transparency, our sister charity, Mearns Kirk Helping Hands, also audited by the same auditors and they too have received a clean bill of health for the same financial year 2018.
