Well folks it’s been a long time, 2 years in fact since we last held our annual plant sale to raise funds for Christian Aid and I’m so happy and glad to say that it’s back this year hopefully bigger and brighter than ever.
We are also hoping to hold the Elders coffee morning on the same day with a delicious strawberry cream tea being offered. The date for both events will be on Saturday 14th May 10am to 12pm. Please put the date in your diary and come along and support Christian Aid, enjoy a delicious warm scone, buy a shrub or some bedding plants for your garden.
To end the Christian Aid week on Sunday the 22nd May we will be holding a slightly scaled back Big Breakfast, no buffet yet due to restrictions but we will be offering the usual rolls and sausage, plenty of tea and coffee with table service . I really do hope that you can come along and enjoy both events and together we can raise some much need funds for Christian Aid who this year are focusing on the country of Zimbabwe.
On a personal note I am walking part of the Camino way from Sarria to Santiago starting on Saturday 30th April, a distance of 90 miles or 145 km. I will be setting up a Just Giving page and all money raised will be going to Christian Aid. More details to follow and of course I’ll let you all know how I get on in another newsletter. Any advice and tips would be much appreciated.
Look forward to seeing you at one or both of the events and many, many thanks for your support of Christian Aid.
