A church with a heart for the community

In spite of all the obstacles Covid threw at us during the last year, it was so good to see the return of so many of our young families and we also welcomed new families in our midst.

In December during Advent we rehearsed songs for the Christmas Family Service, did Arts and Crafts and made Christmas Cards that were taken out into the community by the Outreach team. When Omicron threatened to put a stop to everything, we still managed to have a safely distanced party and a visit from Santa.

This year got off to a good start and Sunday Club meets every Sunday at 10:15am - starting in the church for the first part of the service and then down to the hall. The children all painted a part of a rainbow which is on display in our hall where we post thoughts and prayers and also reflecting on the many things in our lives that we are grateful for.

Our Sunday Club has been missing Sam in our midst, but the good news is that she is coming back with her health and strength on the mend. Sam will lead the Sunday Club once a month for an all age session for a full hour. On Sunday 13th February Sam's session was all about Love - and the children had fun bursting balloons to find bible verses that talked to us about Love.

We hope to have a team of leaders and parents taking the Sunday Cub forward and to share the load. Already parents have stepped up when Marianne and Joe had to quarantine with Covid - many thanks to Kathryn for making pancakes with the children as we start the journey of Lent.

On Sunday 20th March Sam is planning another special all age session starting at 10:15am in the hall for the full hour - to be sure another bumper event not to be missed.

After Sam's session on Sunday 20th March, we invite parents to stay for lunch so that we can all chat about our group and make plans together.

More details will follow.

In the meantime may God Bless you all and keep you safe.
