Sunday Club has been running regularly - in the last few weeks we were looking at Jesus' parables. When talking about the parable of the sower we planted sunflower seeds. The many seedling planted along the church wall behind the memorial garden were mostly gobbled up by insects but one or two may be blooming now.
Our Sunday Club families are a wonderful bunch and it is such a pleasure to see the children taking part - they need encouraged and nurtured. Our Sunday Club Mums did extremely well getting the Clothes Swap event off the ground with great success with exciting ideas for future events.
We are also very proud of young Reece Biggs who raised money for the Little Princess Trust by growing his hair long over many months and then donating it to the charity. He was looking to raise £550 which is the amount needed to make a wig for a child with cancer - and he raised three times as much! Well done Reece - what a brave and wonderful thing to do.
After the summer holidays we will start back on Sep 11th - all dates and details still to be confirmed.
Going forward Sunday Club will alternate with Cafe Church which also takes place in the hall.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back after the summer break.
