Winter 2019 Update

Vicky Attwood

Hello! I am writing this in our lovely, cosy new office in the refurbished halls; it is so good to be back and settled.  It has been wonderful that our groups have been made so welcome in their various accommodations over the summer months but, I am sure, that all our volunteers and group members will be delighted to be back “home”.  What a home it is!  The welcoming new entrance; fresh bright new spaces and well-equipped kitchen are going to be an absolute delight for us to work in.

Our Autumn Mearns Kirk Helping Hands update was very thorough and so I don’t have lot of news to share with you in this edition.  Our groups and activities, working towards reducing loneliness and isolation and improving health and wellbeing for this in our community, continues to develop and grow with something happening every day of the week.

Here is a short run down of our current activities and details of how to get in involved should you so wish.

As ever, we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all the wonderful volunteers without whom the work of Mearns Kirk Helping Hands would not be possible.  On Friday 29th November we would like to invite all of you to the Halls from 4pm to 6pm to join us for a pre-Christmas wine and nibbles get together so we can thank you, in person, for all that you do. You should already have received an invitation by email. If you haven’t, and you would like to come along contact us (details below).  I look forward to bringing you all up to date with any new                   developments that 2020 will bring.

Until then, best wishes. To get in touch: Phone: 07858 552767
